PROJECT DESCRIPTION
When the client first moved into the property, much of the house was dated both aesthetically and thermally. Over several years, we have worked closely with the client to progressively modernise the home, improving its performance, functionality, and overall quality while helping to realise their long-term vision for the property.
Project Brief
As part of a wider programme of improvements to modernise the home, this project involved replacing an outdated rear garage room and conservatory, while reconfiguring the adjoining utility space. By extending the footprint, removing the conservatory, and introducing a raised vaulted ceiling with rooflights, we transformed a series of dark, underused spaces into a bright and welcoming family room.
Flooded with natural light from both the rooflights and large bi-folding doors, the new space provides a versatile environment for relaxing and entertaining. Alongside the visual transformation, significant thermal upgrades improved the home’s energy performance, creating a comfortable, modern living space that has become a valued focal point of family life.
